Special Abilities
Hover (SU): This ability functions like levitate, except that the hovering horror can carry creatures it has grappled with it. Also, grapple attempts do not count as attacks for the purposes of the cumulative -1 for instability.
Ecology
Environment any wilderness area; prefers rural graveyards
Organization solitary or cloud (2-6)
Treasure standard
A hovering horror spawns as the result of a mutilated corpse left to rot in the open or hung from a gibbet. This terrifying and strange undead can form even from the corpse of a good person. The usual tactics of these creatures involves grabbing an unfortunate victim from behind and then rising eerily into the air to begin a freakish feast out of reach of any help.
Notes
Use for maximum freakout!
This update is late in the day–the darn plumbers won’t go away and won’t stop knocking holes in the wall. Sheesh.

  1. Con score: I screwed up. I’ll fix that.
Cloud: Intentional, as TC mentioned. However, clouds don’t quite have the eerie quality I was going for…too fluffy I suppose.
